A rushed or skipped opening routine is how problems get missed. This template gives whoever opens the salon a clear sequence to follow so that by the time the first dog walks in, the space is safe, the team is briefed, and nothing is being fixed on the fly.
Use it every morning before the salon opens, whether it is the owner opening up or a staff member doing it alone.
Walk the salon first. Safety issues found before dogs arrive are easy to fix.
Flag behaviour notes before the day starts. If we know there are any difficult dogs coming in we can better prepare the salon and the groomers.
If one step is not done, that is the priority. The final check at step 7 is to help us catch anything that was skipped in a busy morning.
